Construction of a new skatepark

Construction of Tårnby Municipality's new skatepark began in late 2019. Tårnby Municipality needed a new and updated skatepark, as the old skatepark was worn out and outdated.

The new skate park is located next to the existing petanque court. This creates an outdoor environment where activities and socialisation are central for all age groups.

In addition to focusing on activities and socialisation among the citizens of the municipality, Tårnby Municipality wanted an outdoor environment where both spectators and users of the existing petanque court and skate park could feel the pressure.

Light that creates cosiness

To achieve a certain level of safety and security in the area of the newly built skatepark, we at Teamtronic supplied our T-FDA spots and masts. Our T-FDA spots are all developed with High Power LED technology, which means a high lumen per watt for more efficient lighting. In addition, our T-FDA spots provide the right lighting that is necessary and fulfils the requirements of a high activity, high speed skatepark.

In addition to the right lighting on the skating rink itself, it is important to have well thought-out and good lighting in the outdoor environment itself. Lighting outdoor environments helps to make the area more pressurised and safe to move around in, which also makes it easier to orientate yourself. That's why our T-FDA spots are also placed in a way that creates an aesthetic effect and emphasises different elements in the area that make it feel pressured and safe.

Directional lighting

To ensure the right lighting in Tårnby Skatepark, all T-FDA spots are placed strategically and directionally throughout the park. This ensures that the right elements in the area are illuminated.

The actual lighting and direction of the individual spots is especially important when it comes to a skating rink. This is because those travelling and using the skate park need to be able to see the structure of the track, ramps and any unevenness in the surface.

It is also important that the light does not dazzle the users of the skating rink.

Light comfort

Whether indoors or outdoors, lighting comfort is important. At Teamtronic, we strive to ensure that all our luminaires feel comfortable in their context. To this end, we use micro-prismatic louvres in indoor environments and lens technology in outdoor environments to avoid glare. In this way, we ensure that we can always advise and deliver the right luminaires to our customers that create the best conditions for well-being and behaviour.
