Danish Gigthospital - Sønderborg

For the Danish Gigthospital, Teamtronic has delivered our attractive T-Albatross with dynamic circadian lighting, which is designed to improve patients' well-being in the hospital. As patients at the Danish Gigthospital are often hospitalised for long periods of time, it is extremely important that they thrive in the hospital during their stay.

Despite the fact that daylight was considered in the design of the Gigthospital, it was not possible to achieve the right amount of daylight in the various rooms and spaces throughout the building.
Therefore, dynamic circadian lighting was implemented in the various corridors and common areas.
Therefore, dynamic circadian lighting was implemented in various common areas and corridors.

The dynamic circadian lighting is designed to give patients the best possible well-being during hospitalisation, regardless of where they are. The dynamic circadian lighting is programmed identically with the same circadian lighting throughout the entire Gigthospital, so the same circadian lighting is experienced.

The circadian lighting is programmed to follow the natural intensity and colour of light. When patients wake up in the morning, the light is dimmed and has a yellowish colour that simulates sunrise. As the hours pass, the intensity of the light changes and the light is perceived as brighter and bluer, after which the intensity and colour of the light dims again in the afternoon.
