New Neurorehabilitation Centre - Glostrup Hospital

The Capital Region of Denmark has expanded Glostrup Hospital with a new Neurorehabilitation Centre, which will provide a framework for the treatment, rehabilitation and care of patients with brain and spinal cord injuries. The 25,000 m2 neurorehabilitation centre contains 125 patient rooms and a wide range of training facilities, a research section and a family house for relatives.

For the project, Teamtronic has supplied the lighting for e.g. patient rooms, where T-Hee Ø240, Ø400 and Ø500 have been used. The T-Hee luminaire ensures glare-free light for bedridden patients, while at the same time providing staff in the patient rooms with efficient light for optimal working and safety conditions.

T-XH downlights have been implemented in patient rooms, patient toilets and corridors, allowing for dynamic circadian lighting. Dynamic Circadian Lighting, also known as Human Centric Lighting, aims to mimic natural daylight, which supports the brain's natural hormone production that regulates the human circadian rhythm. The implementation of dynamic circadian lighting in the Neurorehabilitation Centre thus helps to provide brain injury patients in particular with the best conditions for rehabilitation. Dynamic circadian lighting also provides significantly better working conditions for staff working at night because the lighting supports the brain's natural hormonal balance.

Common to both T-Hee and T-XH is that the luminaires have been tested in Teamtronic's light lab and are documented flicker-free. DALI 2 is also used for the luminaires, which allows drivers to dim the lighting down to 1% and CLO for stable lighting throughout the life of the luminaire. The luminaires are supplied with Winsta connectors for easy connection via Plug and Play.
