Lighthouse - Aarhus Ø

Denmark's tallest residential building has been constructed in a unique location at the tip of Aarhus Ø. The Lighthouse consists of a 142 metre high lighthouse with two side buildings, Kanalhuset and Promenadehuset, and in total the complex houses 400 exclusive homes.

For the project, Teamtronic has delivered more than 900 customised T-Hee luminaires for recessed and surface-mounted installation in the Lighthouse buildings. The T-Hee luminaire is part of Teamtronic's standard range, but for the project the technical features of the luminaire have been updated for intelligent wireless control and programming, which allows integrated sensors to interact throughout the building.

The lighting control is customised for Lighthouse so that the lighting follows people and activity in the building. The lighting switches on and off sector by sector so that the light in the corridor is not switched on on all 40 floors if, for example, there is only activity on the 3rd floor. As a whole, the intelligent lighting control system ensures flexible lighting that fulfils the project's technological requirements and quality, as well as low operating and energy costs.

The development of the luminaire's technical properties has been done in close collaboration with the project's electrical installer Wicotec Kirkebjerg.
