Haarslev Industries

Teamtronic has supplied more than 1000 luminaires to Haarslev Industries, who wanted to energy-optimise their existing fluorescent lighting in more than 20 industrial and production halls.

At the start of the project, Teamtronic's lighting consultant carried out an energy calculation of the existing lighting, which showed an annual power consumption of more than 1 million kWh. From this, an energy calculation was made for a similar lighting solution with LED, which showed a significant improvement in light output and a saving of more than 410,000 kWh annually - equivalent to a saving of almost 40 % of electricity consumption.

The new LED luminaires were placed in the production and storage area after an in-depth lighting calculation. The lighting calculations made it possible to position the LED luminaires so that the lighting was matched to the layout of the hall and the specific tasks being carried out. In addition, sensors were implemented to help better regulate the lighting so that the lighting is automatically switched on and off in the halls when no work is being done.

The choice of luminaires included T-Tornado G2, T-Metis, T-Blackbird, T-Hiwide and T-Hee - 1116 luminaires in total. The reduced operating costs and energy consumption speak for themselves, and in addition, the result has been a significant improvement in light output in the halls. The light output as a whole contributes to an improved working environment for employees, as well as significantly increasing safety and productivity.
