From waste to valuable partnership - Teamtronic enters circular partnership with Papirværk

In 2024, Teamtronic decided that sustainability should be a central part of the company's future strategy. With an increased focus on reducing their carbon footprint, Teamtronic has already taken the first steps towards a more sustainable future.

A partnership created by recycling

One of the latest initiatives in Teamtronic's sustainability strategy is a new and exciting collaboration with the Odense-based company Papirværk. Papirværk is a circular paper mill that specialises in the recycling of paper waste and fights for a world without paper waste.

"It's important for us to take concrete initiatives and implement sustainable solutions that benefit our business, our customers and the climate. While the initiative to reduce paper consumption and waste may seem like a small step, it is an important one. We have to start somewhere, and there are limits to how big a step we can take at a time" - says co-owner of Teamtronic Karsten Nellemose

Teamtronic sees sustainability as a continuous endeavour where small steps are part of the long-term journey towards a more circular and climate responsible future. Teamtronic hopes that the collaboration can leave a positive impression on employees and inspire partners to recycle and reduce the use of paper.

Karsten Nellemose says: "We are continuously working to implement more initiatives that are both economically and environmentally responsible and that can inspire our customers and partners to follow suit."

And hWhat does it mean in practice?

The fact that Teamtronic is now a Paper Mill Partner means that all their general paper waste is collected and recycled by Paper Mill. Paper Mill produces "new" paper without any additives such as glue, chemicals or cellulose, better known as wood fibres.

Once the new paper has been produced, it is possible for Teamtronic and other Paper Mill Partners to order new paper products from their own waste paper - and Teamtronic has already utilised this.

"We have already received our new business cards made at Papirværk and they just take on a completely different value when they are made from our own paper waste. The raw look and design of the business cards is one thing, but the whole narrative and story behind them is another" - says Karsten Nellemose

Teamtronic is also working on making it possible to order even more paper products from Papirværk in the future, such as flyers, A5 displays, cards and more.

Every step counts - both big and small

At Teamtronic there is no doubt! Becoming a Paper Mill Partner is a great benefit, both in terms of supporting the local community in Odense and reducing their carbon footprint. In addition, Teamtronic will receive a climate report every year, which contains data on their CO2 emissions from transport and recycling of waste paper. The climate report provides Teamtronic with important insights and can be used as documentation of their commitment to reducing their carbon footprint

Karsten Nellemose says: "Our commitment to climate footprint doesn't stop here. We are continuously working to identify new areas where we can reduce our carbon footprint and promote more responsible production. The collaboration with Paper Mill is just one example of how we actively pursue our goal of creating a more sustainable business."

At Teamtronic, they look forward to sharing their progress and results in the coming years - and to taking even more steps towards a more climate-friendly footprint.

Papirværk has delivered two paper bins to Teamtronic, where all ordinary paper is thrown in. Papirværk collects the bins as needed and takes them to their production facility in Odense.
