Teamtronic secures advanced lighting technology at New Hospital North Zealand
Teamtronic is to supply the lighting solution for the prestigious New North Zealand Hospital project in Hillerød. The project challenges even the most experienced lighting suppliers with its high demands for technically advanced solutions.
Highest standards in lighting technology
In the development of the lighting solution for New Hospital North Zealand, Teamtronic has used the latest generation of LEDs, which are tested and documented via the TM30 standard. This test documents that the tender's high requirements for accurate and natural colour rendering are met.
"Lighting and the technology behind it play a crucial role in both the treatment of patients and the working environment for staff. By using full spectrum LEDs, it is possible to have high colour rendering and mimic the saturation of light that we know from the sun, thereby achieving the most natural light that technology now allows," says Mathias Joachim Larsen, CEO of Teamtronic.
Ergonomic light for precision work
Another key element of the lighting solution is the use of coloured light in operating rooms - also known as ergonomic lighting. Ergonomic lighting can help staff focus better by reducing distractions and emphasising details during surgery, depending on the function of the staff in the operating room.
Dark light and circadian lighting
In addition to colour rendering, Teamtronic has also been tasked with integrating dark light technology into several of the luminaires. In simple terms, dark light technology makes it possible to hide the light source from direct vision at specific viewing angles, minimising unpleasant reflections and glare. This technology ensures improved comfort for both patients and staff.
Mathias Joachim Larsen explains that circadian lighting is also integrated in several areas of the hospital: "With circadian lighting, the light can mimic the natural light that varies throughout the day from morning to evening. This is crucial for the staff's circadian rhythm, energy levels and productivity, among other things."
